Design for elementary textbooks for the BJU Press.

 The cover and concept design was made for the BJU Press. The whole subject includes ancillary materials such as tests, quizzes, CD, and Powerpoint presentations for teachers. 

Both Science 2 and Science 3 were designed as part of the existing Elementary Science product line. With the concept design already established by another designer with the 4th and 5th grade textbooks, it was my job to ensure that 2nd and 3rd grade textbooks adhered to the style guide and expand on it when necessary. 

Throughout the book I coordinated with illustrators to assist in developing new illustrations that would fit with the book’s aesthetic. The illustrations ranged from spot art to add visual interest to the page, to diagrams of basic scientific concepts.
